Overpriced for what you get!

I recently received the Fetch Falcon 12x50 IPX7 Nitrogen Filled BAK4 FMC ED Monocular and I must say that I am quite impressed. The monocular is well made and has a nice weight to it. The image is very clear and I have had great success watching birds in daylight and looking at the moon at night. The tripod that comes with the monocular is also quite stable. The only issue I have had with the product is the phone holder. While it does come with the product, I have had difficulty getting it to stay lined up with 3 different phone models that I tried. This is quite unfortunate as it seems a bit overpriced for the quality and attachments that you get.

Very good

Excellent. I've tested a few monoculars from Fetch Falcon and have always found them to be well built, and this one is different. It's solid and sturdy, but without feeling too heavy. Easy to carry in a large jacket pocket or hang around the neck without becoming a burden. The image quality is noticeably better than that of a cheaper Fetch Falcon monocular I tested this week. I couldn't say if it was the result of the nitrogen filled optics or just better quality lenses, but there are no noticeable chromatic aberrations and everything looks very sharp. Really nice quality. As is common with monoculars the accessories feel a little cheap, but they're perfectly useable. All in all this just about scrapes a five star rating. Could be a strong four but I'm feeling generous.

Not bad for a cheap monocular. It's easy to use and works well.

I know a thing or two about glass - bino's and spotting scopes. I've owned numerous brands including Zeiss, Swaro, Maven, Steiner, Leupold, Vortex and done a few reviews. This is good enough for what it is - a cheap spotting scope. It's easy to use and everything works fine on it, including the dial for focusing. Of course the glass isn't crystal clear, but it is clear enough for this price range. As long as you have plenty of light, you'll see whatever you are viewing much better than with the naked eye. It comes with a nifty tripod, phone attachment, and other accessories. Would recommend when you don't have decent bino's.

Very clear

Was pleased with the sharp, clear image you get through this. It feels super high quality and does not fog. Accessories were well done and easy to attach. I’ve used it to keep tabs on the birds and other animals on my land. It came in really handy last time I zeroed a rifle optic. You can easily see where you are hitting at 50 or 100 yards without running back and forth to a target. Fit and finish is understated and beautiful. Feels like a more expensive product.

Good optic, but the cell phone apparatus is awkward.

The optic itself is nice and light weight. I was able to connect my cell phone to the view finder, but the apparatus that holds the cell phone to the monocular is apparently designed for a phone with a camera that is centered on the phone. Look at the item photo in the description. The camera that is centered on on cell phones is the selfie camera that you can see yourself with on screen. The camera on the back of the phone is off to the side. There is no way to adjust the apparatus for the position of the cell phone camera so the weight of the phone makes it hang crooked.Imagine if you hung your cell phone from a string that was connected to the top middle of the phone, above the selfie camera. The phone would hang balanced and the camera image would be level. Now imagine if you hung your phone from a string that was connected to your phone at the corner of the phone. It would hang crooked and the camera image would also be crooked. That's what happens when my phone is connected to the monocular.Sure, the image could be corrected in editing software, but that isn't optimal. This is one of those items that makes me wonder if the designers actually used the product. 3 stars.

Nice phone holder, lenses are not what I was expecting at this price.

I tested with a pixel 8 pro and a iphone 8. The iphone 8 with a single lens was easier to setup since the camera lens fits right in the hole, while the pixel 8 pro was a bit harder to setup. After using the monocular with my bare eyes, I realized that it is not very good. The lenses are blurry around the edges and have really bad chromatic aberration when looking at animals or plants like trees and bushes. Therefore I would only recommend to use it with a mobile phone.Low light performance is okay but not great.Focusing is difficult, doesn't seem to get as sharp of an image as I was expecting.A lot better than digital zoom on my phone for now. Machine learning might change that soon.

Lovely AND frustrating monocular

Was really excited to receive this product - been wanting a monocular for quite awhile. The actual monocular is pretty awesome - not too heavy and I am amazed at the detail I can see of far away views! As others have pointed out, way better than what I can see when zooming in with my phone camera alone. However, the accessories are subpar - especially the phone attachment! I am able to attach my iPhone 13 Pro Max but have yet to capture a decent photo! I have tried multiple times and just have been unsuccessful. Frustrating! So even though the monocular is lovely from a viewability perspective, I really wanted to be able to take pictures which I am not. For that reason, I’m rating the product as a 3 out of 5.

Nice Combo for Anyone that Prefers a Monocular Over Binoculars.

I was on the hunt for a monocular with a phone adapter and decided to give this one a shot. So far, I'm thoroughly impressed with the glass's clarity, and this comes from someone who has used high-end brands, making me quite discerning about generic brands. One of the highlights for me is the included tripod, which is not only easy to set up but also very user-friendly.However, the phone holder in this combo seems to be the weak link. It fits the eyepiece, but it lacks the necessary support for today's larger phones. I own a Google Pixel, and with some adjustments, it fits reasonably well, providing a decent view through the lens and capturing satisfactory pictures. Considering the multitude of lenses that phone manufacturers incorporate these days, I can't vouch for how other phones might fare. Nonetheless, even if your phone doesn't fit perfectly, the monocular itself is of excellent quality. If the phone adapter were a bit more stable, I'd easily give this product 5 stars. Despite the average phone adapter, I strongly recommend checking this out, especially if there's a coupon available. The monocular performance alone makes it worth considering.

Great optics.

Deer season is upon us soon and I wanted to try something new. I was surprised with how good the optics are on this. Adjustablity is precise and predictable. A great buy.
